Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing the Cockroach AI website, downloading the application, or creating an account, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old (or have parental consent if between 13–18), have read and understood these Terms, and agree to be bound by them.

If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Cockroach AI is a desktop application that provides real-time AI-powered assistance during job interviews. Features include live audio transcription, screen capture analysis, an always-on-top overlay, and session storage.

The Service is provided "as-is" and is intended as a personal productivity aid. You are solely responsible for how you use it in the context of any interview or hiring process.

3. Account Registration

To use Cockroach AI, you must create an account using a valid email address and password, or via Google OAuth. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information during sign-up.
• Keep your password secure and not share it with others.
• Notify us immediately at help@cockroach-ai.com if you suspect unauthorised access.
• Take responsibility for all activity under your account.

4. Subscription & Payments

Cockroach AI offers the following paid plans:

• Daily: ₹100 — 1 day of access
• Monthly: ₹500 — 30 days of access
• Quarterly: ₹1,000 — 90 days of access
• Yearly: ₹5,000 — 365 days of access

All payments are processed by PhonePe in Indian Rupees (INR). Plans activate immediately upon successful payment. Access expires at the end of the chosen period and must be renewed manually.

Cockroach AI is not responsible for payment failures, bank charges, or delays caused by third-party payment processors.

5. License & Permitted Use

Upon purchase of a valid plan, Cockroach AI grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the application on a single device for the duration of your subscription.

You may use the Service for:

• Personal interview preparation and practice.
• Live job interviews where permitted by applicable law and company policy.
• Educational and self-improvement purposes.

6. Prohibited Conduct

• Sharing your account, license key, or credentials with others.
• Reverse engineering, decompiling, or modifying the application.
• Reselling, sublicensing, or redistributing the Service.
• Using the Service in any way that violates applicable laws.
• Attempting to bypass license validation or authentication systems.
• Using the Service to deceive employers in violation of their policies (note: we provide a tool — compliance with employer rules is your responsibility).

7. Intellectual Property

All code, design, content, trademarks, and branding associated with Cockroach AI are the exclusive property of Cockroach AI and its founders. Nothing in these Terms grants you any intellectual property rights beyond the limited use license described above.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. COCKROACH AI DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR PRODUCE ANY PARTICULAR RESULT IN YOUR INTERVIEWS.

We do not guarantee that using Cockroach AI will result in a job offer. Interview outcomes depend on many factors outside our control.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, COCKROACH AI SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid for your current subscription plan.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms, without prior notice and without refund.

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us at help@cockroach-ai.com. Termination does not entitle you to a refund for any unused subscription days.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in India.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We will notify users of material changes via email.
